Digital and algorithmic technologies have become a mundane, yet also nearly invisible part of our everyday existence. The Hybrid Condition<\/strong> exhibition organised within the Algorithmic Resistance loop<\/a><\/strong> explores hybridized realities, where physical and generated worlds merge into a flow of all-consuming and sometimes numbing, puzzling experiences. When you woke up this morning, did you feel real<\/em>? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition is organised as part of the Uroboros 2022 festival and as the next chapter of the affiliated #Datamaze project<\/a> situated in the DOX Center for Contemporary Art<\/a>. The exhibition itself can be visited anytime from 8pm on October 5th. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The<\/strong> Hybrid Condition<\/strong> investigates contemporary eco-social space-times, where datafication and algoritmisation permeate all areas of human as well as non-human life. Can you imagine going about the day without following data-driven decisions?<\/em> Data is not just an ephemeral tool for transmitting information, it is the physical infrastructure that scaffolds and transforms most of our lived spaces. The hybridization of situations, experiences, meanings, and feelings defines our space-times. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many of us dive into synthetic, algorithmic realities to escape from the collapsing world around us. Frustration with the ongoing eco-social crises and crumbling physical realities have paralyzed many of us. At the same time, we are losing the sense of orientation in the information chaos of digital\/algo spaces that we inhabit. When I wander through my daily communication channels, I feel like a fractal structure. <\/em>We construct our realities in a hybrid mode that exists on the screen of our digital devices but consumes our physical selves \u2013 our bodies, minds, emotions, senses \u2013 too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When and where are we now? Where are we going? <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition Hybrid Condition<\/strong> features artists and researchers Simon Denny<\/a>, Ben Grosser<\/a> and Ryska<\/a>, the Farm in the Cave <\/a>theatre studio and their COMMANDER<\/a> project, and the interactive installation What the Future Wants<\/a> reflecting on what young people think about their digital future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Digit\u00e1ln\u00ed technologie se staly t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 neviditelnou sou\u010d\u00e1st\u00ed na\u0161\u00ed ka\u017edodenn\u00ed existence. Dal\u0161\u00ed kapitola v\u00fdstavn\u00edho projektu #Datamaze zkoum\u00e1 hybridizovanou realitu, kde se fyzick\u00fd sv\u011bt prol\u00edn\u00e1 s po\u010d\u00edta\u010dov\u00fdm k\u00f3dem; lidsk\u00e9 smysly s interaktivn\u00edm rozhran\u00edm za\u0159\u00edzen\u00ed; a na\u0161e zku\u0161enosti s automatizovan\u00fdmi procesy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hybridn\u00ed stav popisuje situaci, kdy digitalizace a datafikace neust\u00e1le pronik\u00e1 do v\u0161ech oblast\u00ed lidsk\u00e9 i nelidsk\u00e9 \u010dinnosti. Bez dat si neum\u00edme p\u0159edstavit n\u00e1\u0161 den, na\u0161e rozhodov\u00e1n\u00ed, svobodu. Data ale nejsou pouze efem\u00e9rn\u00edm n\u00e1strojem p\u0159enosu informac\u00ed \u2013 data reprezentuj\u00ed fyzickou infrastrukturu, kter\u00e1 prom\u011b\u0148uje n\u00e1\u0161 \u017eit\u00fd prostor. Hybridizace situac\u00ed a pro\u017e\u00edv\u00e1n\u00ed definuje na\u0161i dobu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

No\u0159\u00edme se do syntetick\u00fdch realit, abychom unikli z okoln\u00edho sv\u011bta, kter\u00fd se nep\u0159etr\u017eit\u011b hrout\u00ed s\u00e1m do sebe. Na\u0161e frustrace n\u00e1s paralyzuje; ztr\u00e1c\u00edme se v informa\u010dn\u00edm chaosu, kter\u00fd vystihuje hybridn\u00ed v\u00e1lka. V komunika\u010dn\u00edch kan\u00e1lech bloud\u00edme jako ve frakt\u00e1lov\u00e9 struktu\u0159e. Vyprazd\u0148ujeme \u017eit\u00fd moment na \u00fakor digit\u00e1ln\u00ed vzpom\u00ednky, uzn\u00e1n\u00ed lajk\u016f a stylizovan\u00e9 p\u00f3zy. Realitu ji\u017e nedokumentujeme, ale konstruujeme ji v hybridn\u00edm stavu, kter\u00fd vznik\u00e1 na displeji na\u0161eho osobn\u00edho digit\u00e1ln\u00edho za\u0159\u00edzen\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lidsk\u00e9 osudy a psychika se neust\u00e1le p\u0159ek\u00f3dov\u00e1vaj\u00ed do bal\u00edk\u016f velk\u00fdch dat, kter\u00e9 poh\u00e1n\u011bj\u00ed reklamn\u00ed ma\u0161in\u00e9rii, v\u017edy p\u0159ipravenou trefit n\u00e1\u0161 vkus, n\u00e1ladu, pohlav\u00ed, pr\u00e1ci, touhy, moment\u00e1ln\u00ed rozpolo\u017een\u00ed, n\u00e1vyky, \u2026 p\u0159ed digitalizac\u00ed se neschov\u00e1 nic. Ot\u00e1zkou je, jak\u00e9 m\u00edsto m\u00e1 v t\u00e9to nov\u00e9 hybridn\u00ed realit\u011b jednotlivec?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
